Experience the beautiful Root River valley during an overnight canoe adventure. Learn the basics of canoe camping from your experienced river guide, then put those skills to the test as we paddle 30 miles of the Root River over two days. Enjoy southeastern Minnesota’s Driftless region from a unique perspective, paddling past towering limestone cliffs and lush hardwood forests while watching for Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, and elusive River Otters. Share stories around the shore side campfire, then fall asleep to the calming sounds of the river. All essential paddling gear, meals, and transportation to and from the river will be provided.
Day 1: Check in from 5:30-6:30pm Day 2: all day Day 3: estimated class ending time 4:30pm
Note: Class size is limited to 12 participants and you must be 18 years or older to participate. You will be tent camping for 2 nights and will need to bring your own personal camping gear, a complete packing list will be available on this page shortly. A limited number of tents will be available to rent for the weekend and are on a first come first serve basis.
